The FX unit in Traktor can be used even separately with external source (mic, send from mixer) and tempo sync is still preserved. In Traktor each command can be shifted by state of other controller - very hady for small controllers. There are more types of cues in Traktor (normal, load, mix-in, mix-out, grid, loop) differentiated by color. There are only 8 hotcues in Traktor¨(37 in Mixxx) and you can`t even just to jump to them silently (hotcue_X_gotoandstop) I think it is matter of DVS architecture, because on the other hand BPM detection recalculating on the traktor screen is very slow - if you move the pitchfader on the turntable, BPM on screen changes in about 5 seconds. In Traktor you can use sync even with vinyl and still adjust speed by pitchfader on the turntable (which act as relative then). From smart crates to the browse view, the inline tag editing, the color system and the support for extended ID3 tags, Serato’s library management is way better than Traktor. ![]() Traktor can analyze a track on the fly when it’s loaded on a deck while Serato can only analyze a track outside the performance mode. The remix decks and remix sets feature present in Traktor are a striking feature that Traktor has and Serato doesn’t.Additionally, Traktor has better MIDI mapping support which gives fine tuned control over knobs and buttons. The FX snapshot feature allows a DJ to save a particular setting for each effect Traktor has an extremely wide range of effects. In Traktor, the effect units have a dedicated dry/wet knob controlling the overall FX signal for both the single and the group mode. ![]() But not all the effects show the parameter that is being controlled. In the group mode three FX in a chain can be loaded with one adjustable parameter for each effect. In the single mode, one effect can be delivered with three adjustable knobs and buttons.
